Actually, I think the word "liberal' could be inserted where you had "witch". They don't want to burn witches, but they don't mind hunting them down and sending them out of town on a rail, tar and feathered. I wonder why conservatives are so angry at liberals, so much energy going into disparaging, so much namecalling... I think it's fear, frankly. While there are some thoughtful and articulate conservatives on SI, by and large, the conservative element here is less well-educated, less thoughtful, less humane, and a hell of a lot less articulate....than the liberals here.
