bosquedog,

I use RavenQuote fed by QCharts and also myTrack. myTrack is reasonable efficient, but I sometimes turn it off to reduce the load because information of primary interest is better presented by Raven. Raven seems to be much more processor intensive.

By way of updating my original message, I just removed one module from my machine so it is backed down to 512M. In spite of restricting Windows to 384M I had some problems with all the memory installed. A couple of times I was disconnected by my ISP, and that created one of those "maybe recoverable" system errors. I was able to continue operation, but when i tried to connect to the ISP the system could not find my modem, or said it was in use by another program. Then I just happened to run Worldbook Millennium and could not even get it started. I got an illegal page fault error from Ddhelp.exe each time I tried. I reinstalled Worldbook and that did not help. Once I pulled the extra memory it worked fine. This was done without yet setting up the ramdrive, so I don't know if that might serve to lock this memory away from all other applications.. Afraid I may be heading into forbidden territory here. Maybe time to upgrade more than RAM :(
