Tony
are you going to give me a credit now for saying 4 years back that intel would not move as it was in the past?
I did not think so.....

Tony, Re: "90% of the posts I read here would make you think that AMD has the best products in the world and that one should get rich on their stock."

That may be, as long as you realize that 80% of the posts here are from 20% of the members, and this doesn't deserve blanket statements that implicate the other 80% who prefer not to be labeled by you. Keeping friendly with the majority of posters who have a realistic way of portraying their opinions certainly strengthens your case against the small minority of hard core posters who really deserve the ridicule.

Tony

Re:This is the second quarter he's done this, which no-one else has come close to for accuracy on any thread I read in any message board.
Are you forgetting Goutama's and Niceguy's prediction two
years back that once Intel's capital gains were used up
thier earnings would plunge? I would say Intel's drop
in year over year earnings last quarter of 96% qualifies.

Tony, Re:... thought for <font color=red>Itanium!</font>

biz.yahoo.com

Macromedia JRun 3.1 Gains Compatibility With Intel Itanium Processor
It's dated today!

JRun wouldn't run on Itanium -- in emulation even -- and they *JUST* got it to!!

Yikes -- even I didn't think things were that bad!

====================

That wasn't a cheerful, let's coexist line(as you posted to JC in your revision of 59645). It was a get screwed, you bastard line that wasn't directed toward you.

====================

But you still have the outstanding question posted in

Tony, You said <Paul made an on the money prediction (for the operations part) about 6 weeks ago. Amazing that you guys would ban the most accurate predictor seen in these parts, ever. Fear of the truth, I guess.>

I did a quick scan from September 1 to September 11. IIRC Paul went missing for a while after 9/11. Happy Days!

The following are the posts I saw from him WRT AMD earnings.

============================

Re: "speaking of predictions, what are yours regarding Intel and AMD EPS numbers for this quarter?"

I think it is safe to say that AMD will HAVE NO EARNINGS per share this quarter.

AMD will have LOSSES PER SHARE - a return to their "roots".

Message 16318154
Re: "". Analysts have an average expectation of $0.10 for Intel, and -$0.10 for AMD. Do these sound right to you?"

They are probably close enough - the positive (Intel) and negative (AMD) are the key points.

Re: "Pro Forma, or the real earnings they file with the SEC? "

As long as Intel pays taxes, they are making a profit.

AMD, on the other hand, won't be paying any taxes this quarter.

========================

Now which of these *WONDERFUL* posts, that I had blocked at the time, do you think were worth reading.

Where's that $100M post you're talking about. Not the one Rob Herb announced on August 27, but the one you said *YOUR HERO* Paul posted around 6 weeks ago?

The one you seem to think makes reading his *CRAP* worthwhile.

Where's the beef, Tony?

<< I don't think so. 90% of the posts I read here would make you think that AMD has the best products in the world and that one should get rich on their stock. I'm providing some balance to that, which nobody seems to want to hear. >>

That's funny, I just checked over the past 200 messages (and maybe this is just a poor sample), but 80 messages were posted by people who are always bearish on AMD. Yourself, wanna_bmw, elmer, paul_engle, technatsu (sp), yousef etc..

I'm no longer very active on this board since I sold my AMD stack in June, but it seems to me everytime I do read it there are far more negative posts regarding AMD then positive, and even the positive ones are generally about technology, and not near term prospects of the stock or making money.
