Here's some early benchmark data on Northwood.

I don't know why the author says the Northwood wasn't compared to anything, there were Sandra benchmarks compared with a 2.0GHz Willamette and a Athlon 1.4GHz MP. Despite the 845 chipset it blew away everything else except for memory bandwidth where it sucked wind. While these aren't exactly definitive benchmarks it does make you want to see the finished product.
