It is so painfully obvious that the country could not afford the Bush tax cut. Now they are talking about issuing savings bonds to finance the war on terrorism. We sure could have used some of that money to finance the fight against terrorism. The country will continue to plunge into debt. When the boomers line up for social security in 2010, the country will be in big trouble but it will be too late to correct the mistakes we are making right now.

We also had ineffective intelligence gathering which enabled Sept. 11 to happen. In addition, Pres. Clinton's failure to make a strong response after our embassies were bombed in Africa & the bombing of our ship with navy personnel killed, encouraged Bin Laden & his henchmen to plan more terror.
