With respect to the level of the threat - I don't think any of us knows whether the bad guys have grams, ounces, pounds or tons of the stuff.

With respect to "domestic" vs. Al-Qaeda, Saddam and the like - I am in the camp that believes that the initial mailings were not by Al-Qaeda. I have to admit that I don't know for sure who Al-Qaeda hates, but it seems to me that they would be sending mailings to synagogues, Israeli embassies, and alleged "Jew" media outlets like Disney.

Dan Rather and Tom Daschle as targets strongly suggests to me that the attackers in this case are white-power types.

Maybe it's one of those "strange bedfellows" type of things.

When 6 year old Billie in Bozeman Montana

Hey, they make nice packs in Bozeman.

(And I'm wondering if they will try to deliver Anthrax via courier. Not as easy as a mail box (what with hundreds of thousands of them around). But still doable. Maximum effect probably means delivery by FedEX and UPS one of these days.

When 6 year old Billie in Bozeman Montana contracts inhalation anthrax because the happy birthday letter from his grandmother found its way into the same the cardboard letter tray that Senator Daschle's letter occupied 2 or 3 weeks ago, AND more letters containing anthrax are discovered as things progress, some very serious questions will arise.

Interestingly, I received a tax refund from the IRS in the mail today. I live in the Seattle area. Let's see how far those little suckers can go.

I will let you all know if I get anthrax.
