The courts, being appointed, are subject to political pressure, and will never, I think, stray far from the mainstream. Already, quotas in college admissions have been invalidated, for example.

Which conservatives?
The sort of people who vote for Republicans. Most of those with families voted Republican in the last several elections, and among whites the percentages would make for a landslide.

I rely upon the vitality of the political system and the society. If I am wrong, well, at least I was loyal to the process, and gave some credit to my fellow Americans......
