Hear, hear. Well said.

Now for something completely different. Is there a name for the spin tactic of sort of leaking opinions to the press in order to soften people up or warm people up or prime people for policy shifts?

Because I sense we are being primed for an attack on Iraq.

>>Iraq likely involved in terrorist attacks

Tuesday, October 23, 2001

WASHINGTON -- Former CIA director James Woosley says Iraq likely was involved in the attacks of Sept. 11 and that the United States will probably confront President Saddam Hussein as part of its ongoing campaign against terrorism.

"There are too many things, too many examples of stolen identities, of cleverly-crafted documentation, of co-ordination across continents and between states ... to stray very far from the conclusion that a state, and a very well-run intelligence service is involved here," he told the national convention of the American Jewish Congress on Monday.

He also pointed to the perceived long-term planning and subsequent use of "refined" anthrax as evidence of state support in the attacks, noting to reporters later that the Iraqi intelligence service has been meeting with Islamic rebels, including some in al-Qaida, and that Saddam has spent years trying to cultivate these ties.<<

This is not about Christianity or Islam... This is about people perpetrating evil in the name of religious faiths. Religious faiths which exist to give mankind some sense of peace and understanding of his place in the universe..

And I believe it's indefensible for some people out here to cast aspersions regarding the major religous figures around which these faiths revolve. That goes just as much Muhammed, as it does for Jesus.

Hear, hear!

There is no such thing as a completely homogenous group of people over 1 Billion in size.

Just like not all Americans are the same on any topic.

In times like this we need to actively avoid gross generalization and stereotypes. Those tools are weapons of words, used by Hitler and many other madmen to further their goals.

"Once the Sacred Months are past, (and they refuse to make peace) you may kill the idol worshipers when you encounter them, punish them, and resist every move they make. If they repent and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), you shall let them go. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful."

I wonder who they mean.

Okay, so now I'm a Moslem, who is it I'm okay to kill?

Ignore that quote at your peril. Maybe there is a Moslem expert who can correctly translate the Arabic from where this came. It certainly looks to me like a good reason to Fatwah and kill anyone who doesn't fit the bill, pay the profits to the prophets and obey the principles of the principals.

They attacked the World Trade Center and murdered thousands of people who worshipped the false idol of US$ propped up by unQuranick interest payments and the twin tower temple of heathenism with alcohol served at the top.

It doesn't look like a religion of peace and harmony, in love with the world, to me. They say what they think. They tell everyone what they will do. They do it. They promise to do more. They will do more.

Nobody should cast aspersions on the faith or figures of faith or leaders of the faith and shall kneel in compliance when instructed by the faithful lest they have their eyes put out, their hands and feet cut off, their tongues fed to vultures in love and the name of .... insert name of loving Moslem sect here. Don't forget the hot oil in the ears and the eternal burning fires of hell too.

Sure doesn't look like peace and love to me.
