To be fair. Apple makes nice computers. My neice had an apple II GS when she was three and it was much better than a pc based system at the time. All the kids in the neighborhood came over and were amazed that Reader Rabbit spoke. And she now uses an Apple for graphics and editing films. Apples are preferred in that area.

They did lose competitive advantage, but not through having a crappy product. The best product doesn't always win. In fact, many times it doesn't. It's about marketing mostly and in msft's case, the monopoly on the OS for pc based systems sure helped.

Dave, I never worked for Apple and never had any Apple stock options. I never said or implied that I did. I did say that I have been writing Mac software for a long time. But I've also been writing Windows software for quite a while too. I think you read way too much into what people say and it causes you to draw incorrect conclusions. But then at least you don't call people liars on the basis of your incorrect conclusions, as somebody else who used to frequent this thread did rather incessantly.
