Louis - Frankly, India's horde of silver has always bothered me, as IMO it makes the silver upside less predictable.

The gold:silver ratio has plenty of variance historically and is not currently at an extreme that would otherwise suggest it would have to move lockstep with gold. I'd be major PO if gold took off and silver didn't.

However, the gold versus silver debate is moot with me - my preference is to play gold-levered mining stocks rather than bullion anyway. For investment competition, I can't even think of a pure silver-levered mine to use for a comparison, they're all toast now or were rolled into other companies.
