craig, wrt our current fiscal / military debacle mess... we are doing it to ourselves. every district sends a congress person to washington believing they will get MORE for the district than they pay into the kitty. if you get LESS and explain that it is fiscally responsible, you get your walking papers. no human form of government will stand the test of time, although our form is the best to date (and it still sucks in many,. many ways). i hope it works a little while longer. wrt to more $$$ preventing the wtc fiasco - you can't protect everything. the fbi had the plans to run planes into the wtc, pentagon, sears tower and a few west coast locations in 1996. they obviously disregarded the threat. clinton was the master manipulator - people STILL believe he really cared about them! btw, did you hear clinton out saying how his administration foiled a bunch of terrorist attacks like he was good or something? pathetic ego stroke, imho.
