Thanks for bringing me up to speed on the Florida gubernatorial race. Also, thanks for posting a site from legitimate media as opposed to newsminimum.com.

I thought Ms. Reno was an excellent attorney general, but, as the article points out, she faces some stiff competition in the Florida Democratic primary. If I were a resident of the Sunshine State my vote probably would go for House Minority Leader Lois Frankel. She was a real crackerjack for justice when the Florida Repugs tried to steal ... er, seal ... Bush's alleged victory in Florida prior to the USCC handing the election to D-Dubya-I.

Interesting governor's race shaping up here in Kentucky. Republicans are recruiting some retired redneck Army general I never heard of to square off against Democratic Lt. Gov. Steve Henry, a physician and husband of '99 Miss America Heather French. We Kentuckians like our first ladies to be former Miss Americas (Phyllis George 1980-84.)

By the way, was the Florida poll based on the old voting machines or the new ones? I understand the Democrats are leading instead of trailing 2-1 if one factors in a change in voting machines. Ha ha ha ha.

We need to demand real diversity in the school systems rather than just diverse perversity. I actual like a dissenting voice but there are no representations of the majority in the school system. Therefore a member of the Jihad indeed Ben Ladeen himself would be more welcome at most institutions than would any white male. Time to get vouchers at the lower levels and then clean up the rat's nest called the universities which have become a breeding ground of Anti American hatred.

When the Florida Education Association released the results of the poll last week it did not disclose the response to the Bush-Reno question. FEA president Maureen Dinnen said Monday night that the results of the political question were omitted because the teachers did not want to detract attention from the budget cuts.

Hello!!!!!!! These are the people charged with educating children!!! Small wonder the system is so messed up!!

Janet Reno needs to answer a few questions about September 11:

Politics slow Sept. 11 probe

October 28, 2001

BY ROBERT NOVAK SUN-TIMES COLUMNIST

Efforts to launch a Pearl Harbor-style commission to investigate roots of the Sept.
11 disaster are being impeded by efforts to protect Janet Reno, who is running an
uphill campaign for governor of Florida.

A blue-ribbon commission, appointed by Congress and the judiciary and modeled
after the inquiry into the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, would have to probe Reno's
performance during eight years as attorney general. The commission's report would
come six months from now, at the peak of Democrat Reno's efforts to defeat
Republican Gov. Jeb Bush. Since Sept. 11, Bush has widened his lead in the polls
over Reno.

The proposed inquiry is encountering trouble from another source: defenders of the
FBI and its former director, Louis Freeh. While Freeh often clashed with Reno (his
nominal superior), he also would come under a commission's scrutiny for the
nation's degree of anti-terrorism preparedness.
