flap, Hesitantly, I must agree with you, except that most of them are not actors. They are numb nuts, and sluts, that command high salaries because a stupid public pays to go see the trash they put out on the screen. It is truly odd that someone like Richard Gere is such a "love idol" when he had to have a live gerbil removed from his rectum at the emergency room in LaLa land.

They get paid what they are worth according to market, not ethical, criteria. Actors get that much per picture when they are "bankable", that is, it is possible to get financing based on their participation, and when the return on investment is almost guaranteed to be extraordinary, because of the audience they can command by being on the marquee.....

The problem is that you and your socialist comrades think that what someone else earns is your business. It is NOT - in principle.

It's all part of the larger problem of American society giving too much esteem (and money) to entertainers/sports gladiators/company CEOs, while at the same time squeezing the common working man (union and non-union) every way possible.

Why isn't your union protecting you? And how much do they charge per year for the manditory membership?

Looks like they are letting you down if they don't secure your health benefits.
