according to elmer one intel fab makes more p4 chips in one week than amd's total chip production for a year. D'you believe that too?
Intel was planning to reach 50% by October and stated so a while back that is enough for Elmer to conclude that it is a done deal.
The Otellini's answer as you described it implies that 50% mark is not even close.

At 20:15 into the CC: Paul O stated:

The desktop was were much of the action and results were focused this quarter. Customer response to our accelerated roadmap has been very positive. Pentium 4 processor unit shipments quadrupled this quarter and crossed over Pentium 3 unit shipments two weeks ago.

Check it on the cc, check it at jc-news.com
