In 1947 millions of Hindus escaped with their lives to India from the newly created country of Pakistan. Otehrs were not so lucky. Every day trains brought murdered and mutilated bodies into India. Unfrtunately (or maybe even fortuantely) we did not have the time or liesure to hate the muslims for what they had done. there was the need to earn our daily bread along with the millions of others in similar situation and then to clothe, shelter and educate the children. And when we did all that and had the time to hate them, we realize we were luckier thatn the muslims who stayed back. While we went to get educated in Science, Engineering and medicine, they had stayed uneductaed and suffered at the wrath of other muslims (dont know and dont care to know whether they were Sunnis, Shias or others). Today I am on the mailing list of people from my area (SINDH) of Pakistan and now that they need our help, they are telling us that we are all brothers from the same area and we should help libertae them from the Pakistan and other muslims who are the real evil ones. Funny part is I still have a soft corner for them (we speak the same language) and hate to see these people from my origins suffering so badly. They are literally uneducated peasant farmers whose water is being diverted via dams to other muslims, no money being given for education and no Govt. Jobs for them. they are also being unjustly persecuted, prosecuted and put to death for demanding (via speeches, agatherings, writings) what is rightfully theirs. Its quite easy in the muslim world to call any action as an attack upon the muslims and the person put to death. Even the judges are afraid of not doing the Govts. bidding. pakistan tried the same thing with Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) till they finally got fed up and ceceded.
