Louis - I read so much about GATA and the gold conspiracy and all its ramifications during the past few years, the whole matter is like watching the same old movie over and over again.

I no longer follow the GATA saga closely, as I don't require that aspect of things to be resolved in gold's favor in order to be bullish.

My premise is the simpleton version, i.e. the furious printing of dollars in excess of an equal quantum of economic growth. At the present time the government's motivation for doing this seems aimed at trying to stave off deflation, but we all know what happens when the pendulum starts swinging back the other way.

As you've already observed, the silver lining (pun very much intended) is that the US is not only borrowing on the cheap right now, they will be paying back all these new debts with deflated dollars one day. I tend to look at the process as the government doing a big refi on the economy ROFL
