You are getting your definitions of "value" confused. Before, you were talking about "value" as "good deal," such as buying shares on the cheap. Now you are talking about "value" as "worth," such as market cap (share value) or book (company value).

So let me repeat: Losses do not increase the value, or worth of a company. You are buying AMD shares in the hope that they will return to profitability and good growth. The goal of 30% market share should be seen only as a road to profits, not a goal in itself. But AMD is doing exactly the latter.
