Sorry to hear about your PC woes.
I'm sure their top notch service dept will have your PC back to you in no time. <40% grin> <60% sarcasm>
btw, you are not supposed to use the CD r/w little draw that slides out, as a beverage holder, even though that is what it looks like it was designed for.

Good going with your QCOM. Repeat process and rinse.

Now the hard part.
Sitting and waiting...

There's a couple things to do if you feel like playing the casino.

1. Learn some basic TA so you can figure out when the markets are overbought and oversold.
If you can get an idea on this, at least you have increased your odds of your trade going in the direction you want.

I will try to post an annotated chart later (possibly tonight) with explanations of how some of the indicators work.

2. Wait for the fat pitches. Sometimes they come a few times a month. Other times it takes longer.

3. I've been watching a lot of successful traders. All of them refuse to let a profit turn into a loss.
Often, I give my stocks too long of a leash. I keep saying, give them more time, they will turn around.
That's a big mistake.
Keep stops set (at least in your mind) and let the stock go if it drops below it.
There will be another opportunity coming along soon enough.

I've been watching some traders who use a core of momentum favorites. They include BRCM, BRCD, EMLX, QLGC, and JNPR. When the Naz is headed in a particular direction, these typically move exponentially.
It's almost similar to playing QQQ options, but with a better spread and no expiration.

Anyway, good luck.
Let your winning trades run.
Keep a trailing stop a few points below the new highs.
Don't average down on your losers. Just get out and find another opportunity.

Perhaps one of these days I'll listen to my own advice.

-Clappy

P.S. There is a fat pitch heading downward soon. Perhaps it will happen in the next day or so, or after the next little grow spurt on the Naz.
If you miss it, be ready for the one coming back up.
