My exact phrase was "cesspool of ethics." The ethics of Big Business is corrupt. A good place to start would be for Big Business to insist that boards of directors earn their money, i.e., make top management accountable to shareholders AND considerate of workers, rather than fill those $100,000-a-year board positions with golfing buddies of the CEO and CFO.

I forget the name of the bank robber who was once asked why he robbed banks.

He replied, "Because that is where the money is".

Some may accuse some CEOs of being greedy, but they are no more so than unions.

I recall when Lee Iacoca hired on to Chrysler and cut wages and set his own salary to one dollar for the first year.
