Thanks for playing, Thames. What is that "commoner English term?"

I think one of the problems with masturbation is the word itself. Most of us are long conditioned to think of that as a bad, even dirty word. And it just doesn't sound aesthetically appealing. I mentioned to Poet about the best-seller that uses "selfloving." That would sell much better to Mom and Pop, don't you think? But even so ... no way it's likely to fly very well.

I really like the commoner English term, and there are people that I cannot describe with any single word other than "wanker". You must admit, though, that it frequently is used to describe a number of common syndromes not directly involved with physical masturbation....
