Start by asking the parents whether Johnny is doing his homework at night or watching a lot of TV instead. There is no stat more striking than comparing low income Asians vs. Hispanic/Black test scores. This problem is far more cultural than economic and the educrats do not want to ruffle the feathers of the victacrat Jesse Jackson crowd. So instead they point fingers at "rightwinger ghosts" who don't want to continue to dump their money and kids into a system that won't deal with their problems honestly. It will be fun watching the spin coming out of the educrat machine explaining away the support for vouchers amongst innercity blacks. I think we'll see a liberal application of "Uncle Tom". At least we agree that we are failing to educate these kids instead of playing shell games with test scores.
