Re: My father taught school in the 50' and 60's and he is always saying, "We'd never put up with this when I was teachin'". My parents were educators too. It is a different time. I grew up where people said, "yes Sir," and were mannerly. Teachers concentated on teaching and not behavior problems. We were there to learn. Our parents disciplined us. We were given a good foundation for education, bahavior and hopefully, a value and belief system that can carry us through all situations. Hopefully, we pass on what we learned to another generation. It is not a great time to be a teacher. That is why there is a Teacher shortage.
