There are two types of polls: scientific and unscientific. The voluntary Internet polls often cited by right-wingnuts are unscientific and, as such, inaccurate and useless. Scientific polls themselves sometimes are less than accurate, based on flaws in sampling, etc. (Think back to a year ago when the Portrait of America poll cited by many Republicans proved to be highly inaccurate because it only polled "likely" voters, i.e., those that voted in '96.)

I always am amused by right-wingers who cite voluntary Internet polls. I think someone on this board one time even based an argument on an Internet approval poll sponsored by newsmax.com. I just shook my head in amazement.

Much of Bush's poll numbers are just plain patriotism at this point. The underground is starting to grumble about the lack of accomplishment in Afghanistan.

With Bush's lack of support for the federalization of security workers he will lose more support. If he had to put his family on regular airplanes he would think differently. The lives of millions of people who travel on planes depend on those security guards and I want good quality people to be attracted to those jobs. Good salaries and federal benefits will attract a better caliber individual to those positions......minimum wage employees aren't going to cut it.

In my view polls are meaningless because of the way the questions are posed. The answer they are looking for is revealed within the question. So they are nothing but BS.

Hey, TP: Where is 'Imus?' Dallas?

Wow, you talk about a load of bigoted horsesh*t every morning ... now on MSNBC.

I wasn't aware of this until a week or so ago. On here Central 6-8am weekdays.

He refers to 'towel heads' in an extremely degoratory context -- frequently -- and inflammatorily.

He is costumed, I would add, 'packing a pistol' on his belt. Saw that Friday morning.

Just wondered if you're ever caught this RW maniac.

Seems to have a significant flock of 'listeners.'
