Hardly proof. Indeed this single transition could not even be considered strong evidence. However, every update ZD Labs has made to their benchmark suites has favored the then current processor. This historical pattern is strong evidence, but still falls short of proof. What would be interesting would be to see how Athlon versus P4 would come out with all of the previous versions of the benchmarks.
