Nadine, Re: all American's actions during the Cold War were guiding by corporate malevolence; the actions of the Soviet Union never had anything to do with the case. Huh? We took over the mantle of Anglo-Saxon imperium when Britain failed financially in the '20's. We were the continuum of the "Great Game" in Asia in the 20th Century, a mirror image of the USSR role as the successor to Imperial Russia's grand expansion. Communism was just about a phony a conceptual cover for state power in Russia as democracy is in....... you do understand, don't you? Furthermore, it wasn't "malevolence" that drove the corporations to employ the Marines* in their behalf.
