btw, cobalt, if you read this, please accept apology for onion.com remark re: "pentagon suggestion box" article from yahoo. my initial reaction was similiar to the evening richard nixon told us he wasn't a crook. stunned and depressed at the naked helplessness of the plea.

As I read Senor Duray's increasingly excited invectives and rudeness, I began to wonder whether he was a Little Sir Chomsky Echo (LSCE) or just a free-lance Musketeer wielding his rapier against any who challenged his truth.

But then, Bwana Duray suddenly acknowledged that the Marshall Plan was a good deed. I was surprised that he didn't label that action as meretricious, designed solely to rebuild and then dominate Western Europe; just another duplicitous action by the U. S. in 200 years of ignoble actions.
