That means there are certain rules. Rules imply some type of consequences when they are violated, else they are just "suggestions". This is what differentiates this forum from the ones that don't have "Moderated" in the title. For what it is worth, I don't agree with certain of Mani's rules, but I more or less abide by them, as should any other poster. "Boy, we sure are sensitive. I never realized just how genteel and sensitive the AMD folks are. Almost like a ladies tea party" Stuff it. An adult realizes that talking and behaving in certain ways will cause some people to find their behavior objectionable. An adult realizes that, and makes decisions. If you make a choice and people object, then you weigh the plusses and minuses in exercising your freedom of speech and action, versus the possible consequences of censure. Only a child then whines when they get slapped down later. Paul has proven he can abide by the rules, but he has chosen not to. You find it necessary to defend Paul because he chose to play chicken with someone who clearly is reluctant to pull his plug. Whining about the unfairness of it all is extremely childish. It's not like posting on this forum is a right, or even very important. Paul screwed up, live with it. When he whines about how unfair this group has been to him, no doubt you will console him. "He may not be gentle in his responses, but often he is right. He corrects some false statements, he adds perspective when it is sometimes lacking." While there is some truth to this, it still doesn't excuse his behavior. And that is the crux of the problem. it is not what he says, but how he says it. Mani clearly didn't want it to come to this, but Paul has pushed it, despite warnings. Frankly, to defend someone who so consistently bends and breaks the rules, and then tries to blame others for the problems it creates, baffles me. Re-enforcing such behavior strikes me as wrong.
