I almost think your point was that the people of the US went to war all for the benefit of a few stockholders. If it was, think again...


if you follow the thread, you will find out that that was not a point I had made but my response to a point that someone else made.

But lets even consider your point which I believe is that its ok for US to go to war if it benefits all or even most of its citizens, in this case the benefit is cheaper oil.

Do you really think that if you told the soldiers and their families that they are going to risk their lives so that the US citizens can get cheaper oil, that you would get a lot of volunteers?

And if that is the reason for going to war in Kuwait, then isnt it the right thing to do to inform everyone that the war is about getting cheap oil and not to save some country, whose leaders are some kings and princes rather than representatives of the people? Isnt honesty the best policy anymore as we were taught in school?
