No matter how you twist it, INTC's q3 net income was $787 million, not $2 billion...You do seem to have difficulty absorbing financial statement content!

The >$2 Billion is the profit put into the bank.
It is spendable income.

Hey, perhaps Intel can spend it on some more of that goodwill stuff they like so much?
