John "I don't see what the hoopla over the pullback is all about"

Websters - hoopla: "Talk intended to mislead or confuse"

I thought the analysts were engaged in "hoopla"?

Dell had a $10 point run up. They also had a $12 point run down, from $28. Now, to me, THIS is confusing - all the while Dell's sales have remained fairly consistent.

Maybe someone is using a "Hoopla Timer"; that is, "earnings calls" appear to come at opportune moments.

And, oh yes - whenever Dell has a special sell through on an item it's called "end-of-quarter dumping". They have sales all the time, on all types of items. Flat panel probably isn't selling as well (other than to CNBC) as expected due to several factors.

How much more Hoopla can be expected from analysts? Dell is among the most volatile of the large cap stocks.

How can Fortuna realistically conclude anything solid regarding XP relative to the 4th Quarter in this environment? Don't you think that comments, at this point in time regarding the 4th quarter XP sales, are premature? If they are premature, then why make them?

John,

I saw an NEC 1850X LCD....magnificent. Maybe I'll shut my eyes and hand over the $1600.oo for it. I tried to get the new DELL branded 20 in. LCD with a Dimension, but since I was not ordering a bona fide workstation, I was refused. Oh well, whats a few inches?!

Happy Halloween,
Kaka

John,
Did you take you get profit in the 10 point move?
