Dear Dave: Actually years ago a History teacher who was a friend of my aunt, who was an English Teacher researched our family on my fathers side years ago. Very interesting and sometimes SCARY family tree. Lots of good stories came of it. Even when I was young people didnt move around much and cemeteries in the North were quite old often with family burial plots stretching back many generations. Anyhow, I can tell you this, there were not many white women on the frontier in those days and those that were often died young as work was hard, food was less than adequate and MANY childbearing was EXPECTED to run the farms. Thus, anyone like myself, whose forebearers were on the frontier definitely has Indian blood. jdn
