When you say that he does not necessarily represent islam, what does that mean? Either he does, or he doesn't. If you think that preaching fights the ben ladens, I disagree, IMO preaching to non believers doesn't fight the ben ladens, preaching to the believers is where you fight the ben ladens. Take a stand. Denounce them. Publicly encourage people to turn their backs on them, demand that they turn themselves over to be tried for their crimes.
