We have such crappy tools compared to the Yanks. I managed to get a Brown account in the US for a while before they realized I was Canadian. After being trained in Canada, it was a breeze day trading down there. Cheap commissions (5$/5000 shares), instant executions and meaningful screens meant I could pound the bid/ask all day long. Made a lot of money very fast. This was when Canadian brokers were taking over an hour to fill orders back in early 2000. Remember that? CD
