This is not true merely of the so-called "cults" or non-establishment religious groups, that characterize one aspect of the contemporary scene. Rather, it is true of all conventional religious institutions, and it is especially true of the broadly based "establishment" of religious institutions that proliferate in the entire world. True religion is not a matter of uninspected belief, or fanatical adherence to an historical system of objective beliefs that excludes all other systems of belief from the right to Truth. True religion is a higher human process. It is a process enacted in the body-mind of the individual and in the communities of all individuals who are conciously involved in that same process. It is a process that can only begin if it is founded on profound self-critical consideration and insight, followed by conversion, or release of the entire body-mind into the Life-Power,the All-Pervading and ultimately Divine Energy that may be directly and bodily experienced and also clearly revealed to the intuitive mind. True religion is the mechanism in Nature whereby Man evolves and transcends himself, both individually and collectively (as a species and as a cultural and social order). Therefor, true religion transcends the chaos of conventional exoteric cultic beliefs. Sultan, In Islamic countries, people have very little choice what they believe. In these countries, if you convert from your Islamic religion you probably will go to jail, or be killed. Their holy writings say you should be killed, if you convert. And anyone preaching Christianity is jailed or killed in these countries, as evidenced by Afghanistan. That's fact! So they can not convert from their religion, unless their willing too die to do it! In these countries, they can have four wives. And it is worth mentioning because many men do have mutiple wives in Islamic countries. It plays heavily into the equation! And you get no disagreement from me their are extremists in every religion. But is their extremism justified by their religion, or are they just insane? And let me ask you this, doesn't it seem that terrorists are heavily Islamic? Why? God Bless, Steve

the fastest growing religion - does have much to do with the birthrate of women. This is also one reason for unrest in Muslim dominated nations. Think of the availability of clean water and electric power in these nations. Think of the lack of the ability of freedom of the press. When people in oppressive regimes are not allowed to express their disastisfaction with the regime, they can get violent toward their government, and/or that government will try to deflect the anger to another target in order to stay in power. example - look at the wealth of the Saudi royal family and the average annual wages of the typical Saudi family.
