Srex, I laud your effort to attempt to have a dialog with some on this thread. But over time I think you will realize that the only interesting question about the vacant liberal minds is this.

Do they always have their head up their butt or do they have their head up each others butt?????

1. honor mean dick is their guiding principle.
2. they have the associative reasoning ability of a bag of hammers.
3. they are in a perpetual fuming state because their man failed at rigging the election.

Perhaps my comments about union workers were a tad gratuitous. I know from past experience what the general sentiment here is about unions, but never discussed it directly with you. You do say in post #198364 that you don't like unions because they foster a sense of entitlement.

Trouble is, you are dancing on the head of a rhetorical pin. Unions ARE workers, not some abstract entity in which unsuspecting workers mysteriously find themselves, soon to be corrupted by the experience.

Having said that, my most recent experience with union officials was pretty unsatisfactory. They seemed like a bunch of professional victims, very adversarial and not very sophisticated when it comes to addressing grievances in a professional manner.

On the other hand, capital has a way of fostering a sense of entitlement as well, which you seem to overlook. All you have to do is look at the history of the way capital has behaved in the work place to know why we have unions. Without them we would still be working six days a week with no health care, no retirement plans, no workers comp insurance, no disability, limited job security, vacations, sick leave. Need I go on?
