Obviously Western Europeans (like everyone else) were smart enough to wait an extra month to buy Windows XP systems rather than Windows Me. Let's see what the fourth quarter numbers look like.

That's not new news, IMO. It's exactly what we've seen in the US on a year to year comparison.
