"U.S. Increases Vigilance at Borders" ??

wire.ap.org

Let's see if this is just another central government PR and spin exercise to defuse public outrage over this issue.

But to be honest, my attitude toward all statements from our central government in recent years has become: "Show me. I'm from Missouri"

Usually it's tell the people what they want to hear then little or nothing, or worse, just the opposite happens. I've come to consider most statements from Washington to be about as trustworthy as W.S. brokerage firms advertising about how they "take care" of their customers.

Even this TALK of increasing border security is only TWO MONTHS LATE for heaven's sake!! Some would say 10 years late to prevent millions of illegal aliens and billions in dope from crossing our into the US.

So, once again, let's watch and see to if it's FINALLY going to happen. After all folks, repeated statements by multiple government spokesmen - over a month ago - that airport security had been tightened and it was safe to fly have been exposed as total bullsh*t in recent days. .

FOX TV reported last night that ONLY FIVE PERCENT of checked luggage is inspected. That's right FIVE PERCENT folks!!

AND even worse matching luggage to the passenger list HAS NOT been implemented. In other words, someone can simply check luggage with a bomb in it and walk out of the airport without boarding the aircraft!!

Congress gave the airlines billions just a few weeks ago. In apparently another example of central government wisdom, NO requirements to implement the above security procedures were attached to OUR freakin' money!

Amazing!!!

The best thing each and every person reading this can do what I did yesterday. Call and/or write to your congressman and demand immediate action. No more stalling and BS.

Being a LOYAL AMERICAN does not = doing nothing but nodding our heads no matter how bad things get. It means calling your elected representatives and making your concerns known.

Remember we pay their salaries. They work for us, not the other way around.
