Jacob,
A buddy of mine just asked me how the market could go up in the face of the economic news out there. World wide recession--first since 1974 and all the other bad numbers the market seems to be ignoring. I guess the market is optimistic about a quick resolution of the war(quick enough) followed by a sharp bounce back in economic activity sometime next year. Would that scenario suggest a delayed V for chips?
What i told my friend by the way is the market is going up because jacob said it would. Next stop low 40's, 2000, 10,000???mike

Jacob, check page 8 of the Infrastructure slide show for a broad brush strokes look at electronics, semiconductor, and equipment industry growth rates going back to the last recession and beyond.
