There were cracked versions of Windows XP floating around the net even before it shipped. Perhaps they got it right this time, but MS doesn't have a good record in security and crackers are very determined. It stinks, but there it is. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they find in Asia large quantities of counterfeit XP discs with product activation somehow disabled, and soon.
