people of all political views

I wish it was true, Poet, but only one political view is "PC" on our campus's

liberals and leftists hate their country.

This is the only country in the world whose Intellectuals hate their own culture.

academia is a diverse, tolerant, exploratory, impractical place
it must balance envmt for learning with need for security

I grew up in an academic household
father was university professor in humanities for over 35 yrs
when young, I met so many diverse people, it aint funny
the whole experience left me with many strong impressions
then I went to college, had interim graduate experience, then a fullblown graduate program
that whole experience provided me additional impressions
since my time was in the sciences, stark contrast grew

the arts and humanities and free expression side is so full of liberalism, many whacky (but lovable) types, people whose views are so impractical as to endanger their jobs and even their lives if their avowed positions ever became reality

- Marxists who speak radical views, even disruptive violent views
- GreenTypes who speak of radical change, yet never worked for a business, let alone ran a business or had profit/loss responsibility, whose views would sometimes result in 20% job cuts if enacted
- Kooks whose personal style is so offensive as to isolate themselves to the extreme

when I was in college, a good friend evaded the draft in 1969 by "going underground" in SF's Haight Ashbury
he came up for air in Berkeley periodically
when he wasnt too strung out
he said SF was the perfect place to hide, esp on its campuses

these university campuses ARE perfect places for truly dangerous people to hide
like perhaps UnivTampa and that Palestinian fried by OReilly
even the campus leaders cannot distinguish between their runofthemill Radicals, Kooks, and the TrulyDangerous

back in the 1970's Nixon regarded many campus movements as grassroots for real revolution
unfortunately, that sort of paranoia might be justified again
except now, the threat aint Marxism, but Islam

now the science students are a different breed
toymakers, labrats, honest brokers of science
complete with many strange geek types

we must be vigilant again
and forego looneytune Political Correct crapp that is so Anti-FirstAmendment
Liberalism and PCthink has weakened our country's security
PCfolks often dont realize how their preachings violate the First Amendment
Liberals often dont realize how their accepting preachings allow genociders to walk among them

if I were a Saudi cell member, I would not inhabit Jersey City
I would go offcampus to ColumbiaU or NewYorkU
or just head to the cool part of town in SoHo
take up some obscure or abstruce cause
mingle and get lost, it would be easy
