Jacob,
I am remembering a 2000-2300 range trading there for quite some time. My optimistic side would like to get into that range again in order to lighten up some. My pessimistic side sees Lehman's 1850 trading range scenario as realistic. I will as always do nothing and pray. If we do get to 2000-2300 range, someone please remind me to lighten up a bit. mike

Dealing with customer daily in the semi eqip I understand what they said, and it is Bull S***, the worst responce from a auto mfg, I've ever heard.

"It's just a cosmetic recall, to soothe customer's anxiety, nothing really wrong with the tires."

Possibly true...given your generally cool weather in Alaska and given that you keep the pressure at new recommended levels (or even slightly higher), you may not want to bother with the recall...decide for yourself. I believe the problem with Firestone tires was failure due to heat caused by Ford recommending lower than manufacturer-recommended pressure in order to make the ride smoother.

Ford was truly the best American manufacturer in the 80's and early 90's under Donald Petersen but Jacques Nasser has demonstrated classic incompetence (surpassed only by Roger Smith at GM in the late 70's and early 80's). I don't understand why it took Ford's Board so long to dump Nasser!
