Well Things are shaping up for a recovery & if it was not for this new face of unpredictable attacks by Terrorist I would be all the way long . The major long term factor that sets the ability of "growth" is not so much monetary policies or interest rates, It's in the cost of energy Crude oil prices ( like I have previously posted are in a down trend ) they could go lower and may have to in order to bring on a real recovery. What the terrorist failed to understand is the attack on the Twin Towers would introduce instability into the middle east as much as to the U.S. Amid that instability with Middle East Royal Families not knowing how long they might hold power before being forced out; holding a OPEC line would be next to impossible. While they are Jaw boneing about production cuts to jack prices up , it's not likely they won't cheat under the circumstances. So no matter the BS that comes out of OPEC they now don't have the power to make production cuts hold. Russia is coming on line with Oil faster than ever and they have reserves up the ass, they also need the money it brings in. -------------- All this cheaper energy adds up for better profits and growth in other areas..the big fly in the soup is an unexpected terrorist attack that shuts down commerce.. Right now We are wide open to such on a large scale because our system of receiving and shipping via Cargo Containers is extremely large and not even remotely secure. ------------ The Terrorist don't see how they hurt themselves by killing the price of oil and creating instablity or how they enabled Russia to develope reserves and steal market share each time they cut production. When will they catch on that price fixing always catches up with and bites the fixers in the ass. Jim Take A good look at ENE if you think not, as that's what they were doing with NG. Jim
