So how do we convince the muslims of the world who side with bin lidin?? For them this is a religious thing and their sole purpose on earth is to kill as many Americans as possible and to die in the process. No amount of talking or friendly gestures or just giving in a little to their demands will change what they are programmed to do and that is KILL as a way to get to heaven. These things do not have the same thought process as us in the west ( excluding those that are already in our countries ) these things can not be reasoned with. There is only one solution and that is to destroy them as quickly as possible. Intellectuals will be of no use for this one. You said......" I would not suggest that " Lashing out blindly " is the thing to do however I do think that an overwhelming show of brute force may help those muslims on the fence decide the correct side of the fence to be on. As for a " catastrophe for humanity " I don't think so. All the world nuclear powers are on side on this one and it is to all our advantages to bring this thing to a close as quickly as possible. I am sure you have seen the news stories about the training schools for young muslim boys, They are trained from birth that their only purpose in this life is to kill the Americans, according to the news these schools have been turning out killers for the last 30 years. So again I ask how do we make these kind of people understand that what they are doing is wrong....we can't, they have been taught from birth so they know they are right. There is only one way. Lorne
