You just proved my point, Ann. You're into playing the blame game, too. You need to look farther down the road.

I would contend that some/a lot of the present economic slide is a result of businesses lacking confidence in the GWB administration to turn things around or even inspire economic recovery.

But having said that, let me again stress that what is more important is the "solution game." So, Ann, are you comfortable with the economic recovery game plan offered so far by the Republican House and Bush administration? Do you find it disconcerting, as I do, that the Bush administration treasury secretary voiced major problems with the GOP House version economic recovery plan that passed on a 216-214 vote?

It is my opinion that the degree of the economic downturn caught the Bush administration by surprise, and that there is no solid plan to reduce the number of jobless, etc.

Yes, the downturn did start in April 2000....And the thing I've wondered for a long time is: "If we don't have tech for growth in the economy, WHAT do we have?????" Steel?? manufacturing?? timber?? biotech?? (do we seriously think the government won't intervene here???) aerospace??

The Government doesn't "Create" a single new dollar....it "Takes" money from the marketplace.....Small business, the engine of our economy for many years, is struggling to keep the doors open...

So, I ask again.....WHERE is the growth going to come from for our economy to grow????

Anyone who was watching the market closely, knows that the economy started the downturn before
the 2000 presidential election. It started in the spring of 2000.
