what would make it FUD? Intel defines the speed of the chip via frequency but frequency of what since we have 3 different frequencies? Amd always specify that their rating is not frequency but I have never seen disclaimer from intel about decoder speed been slower than the quoted number.

"It uses a deeply pipelined design to enable high clock rates with different parts of the chip running at different clock rates, some faster and some slower than the nominally-quoted clock frequency of the processor."

So can you tell us which parts of P4 are running "slower than the nominally-quoted clock frequency of the processor"?
