While hedging is all well and good and 'smooths' earnings a bit, IMO it's really not that important in the long run... ie. in 5 years the hedges will have been rolled over several times [correct me if I'm wrong, but these hedges max out at about 2 years no???]. IMO the real issue about investing in these trusts is what will the average price that they get over the long run. FWIW we've see the 'super Trader' soar and crash: ENE I don't need to hang my hat on that, a simple partial hedge during unusual rallies is enough for me.
