Filo, Been there, done that on forgetting which vineyard I liked for a brand name. You wouldn't think it would make such a difference, but it does.

When drinking zinfandel always remember the "R"s, Ridge, Rosenblum, Ravenswood, Renwood, and Rafanelli. Rosenblum is not low end, their wines encompass a wide spectrum. Their vineyard designates such as Annettes, Rhodes, Rockpile, Carla's along with many others are wonderful examples of rich and flavorful zinfandels. Next weekend they have their open house in Alameda and it is a fun event. Last time my wife and I went we were intending to only taste a little bit, but we ended up with 3 cases. Besides, Kent Rosenblum is a very nice guy and still a practicing veterinarian.
