I'm hopeful the dispute can be resolved without Canada using the energy card or indeed responding with a reciprocal tariff. I cannot believe the true objective of the Bush Government is to start a trade war with its largest trading partner. Is it in their best interest to do this? Particularly now? Call me an optimist but I believe the dispute will be settled by the back room boys before Christmas.
