carranza Carrier finance is not a game Q is equipped to play. Needs to get rid of the Australian venture, too.

Actually, they did get out of the Carrier Financing business.. It was called Leap Wireless..

But, carrier financing is the only way they get many of these carriers to adopt CDMA in the first place..

It's like Reganomics..Trickle down Economics..

You invest a little bit as an equity partner. Get the system order on your standard..Then make a fortune on the Royalties and ASIC's.. Well, at least that is how it is supposed to work!!

I thought one the big advantages of CDMA was that they could put their competition out of business due to spectral efficiencies?? How come many of the CDMA operators are the one's on the brink of insolvency??

Hard to convince an operator to adopt your technology when you show them around at your system operators like Pegaso, Vesper, etc..
