How the Washington Post would headline this item: WORLD TO END ON MONDAY. WOMEN AND MINORITIES MOST AFFECTED Fun time. Well, let's see. For starters they would check to make certain the headline writer was using "affected" correctly. They would recall, from journalism school, that it's easy to get "affect" (an emotion) and "effect" (a causal agent) confused. So they would, just to play it safe, change it to "effected". On a more serious note, you sound a bit bitter, Bill. Got a problem with reducing discrimination? John
